Funded by the Department of Human Services, Division of Youth and Family Services and Partners For Kids and Families we provide residential treatment services to more than 40 emotionally disturbed, often abused and neglected boys and girls, ages 10 through 17. Youngsters may be referred from throughout the State of New Jersey. Services provided include: counseling, family therapy, education, recreation, health, nutrition, daily living experiences, independent living skills, child and family reunification or permanency planning, aftercare services and advocacy. Included as a part of our residential treatment programming is the W.A.Y. Program.
The Children’s Home Work Appreciation for Youth (W.A.Y.) Program is a comprehensive five-part curriculum that includes mentoring, employment workshops, community service projects, career assessments, employment worksites, educational tutoring and an unprecedented five-year aftercare component. There is also a scholarship component included in W.A.Y. to further undergraduate education or vocational training in the participants’ fields of interest.
